In this video I make a real "little mix" hair composite. Since hair is actually pretty tough I wanted to crush it in the hydraulic press, but in order to do that I had to make it into a form that was crushable. So first I made an epoxy resin and mixed it with the hair. Then I formed 0/90 degree layers and wrapped it around a PVC pipe. Then I put pressure on it and let it cure for 24 hours. Finally I crush it in the hydraulic press. It actually didn't go as well as I had planned because the thing kept turning on its side due to the hair delaminating. I think I needed more epoxy.
