In this video I crush starburst with a hydraulic press. I wanted to check and see how many discrete layers I could get when I crush the starburst with the hydraulic press. I only folded it four times because after that it just becomes all mushed together and you can't see the layers. I also talk about the myth that you can't fold things more than 8 times. I talk about a cool girl in high school that proved this myth wrong. Here is here story and her mathematical derivation for folding. It's pretty interesting.
