We've been asking brain teasers and riddles for centuries (really, the first one I ask here was recorded in the second century). Humans have an innate curiosity, which has led us use these brain teasers for a variety of purposes. Here I ask a bunch of brain teasers, that on sites like Glassdoor, Forbes, LinkedIn and Quora, people have reported being asked in job interviews at tech companies like Google and Microsoft. While some of the questions may seem inane, they allow employers to assess your ability to problem solve and to see divergent thinking in action – how you apply knowledge you have to a novel situation. So... how did you do?
BrainCraft was created by Vanessa Hill (@nessyhill) and is brought to you by PBS Digital Studios. Talking psychology, neuroscience & why we act the way we do.
