I designed a clock which uses a power window motor and wooden gears to tell time. It was the most difficult project I have had so far.

This video explains some of the mistakes I made in the design/build process, things I would do differently, and things that made the project successful. Its a brief what "TO", and what "NOT TO" do when designing and building a clock from wood.

FYI that is a bebe gun, but after effects helped me sell it.
