Arthur and I go down to The Home Depot and put my Geiger counter next to a pallet of potassium chloride. We find that it would be a dangerous level if you were around it all the time. The activity of the ton of potassium should be about 26 million becquerels (disintegrations/second) we dont pick up near that much since the potassium blocks most of its own radiation.
