How to Grow Plumeria from seeds, Plumeria seedling update #1

Plumeria (common name Frangipani) is a genus of flowering plants in the dogbane family, Apocynaceae. They are native to and have been spread throughout the world's tropics. I bought some seeds last year online after acquiring a couple seeds the year before. Fresh seeds germinate WAY better than old seeds... I've only worked with old seeds :( They look like a maple tree seed, plant the seed with the wing up and out of the soil. They germinate in well under a month. Poorly draining soil will cause root rot, so I always add extra drainage in the way of perlite. In Canada give them as much sun as possible, my Plumeria have a very extended growing season in the greenhouse. They Start to grow in Feb, summer outside and then go "dormant" by about December for me. Check out my Visit to a larger forest of Plumeria in Hawaii /youtube/video/B_lMhN6YuNE
