By the time she was in her 30s, Lee Miller had lived more lives than most of us manage in a lifetime. She had been a model for Vogue, a photographer - protege, lover and muse of Man Ray and other artists - an artist in her own right, a photojournalist, and a war correspondent, and later still she would reinvent herself as a gourmet cook.
